A Note to Coaches

Your goal as a Coach is the spiritual success of your small group Leaders (1 Thessalonians 1:7-9).  You are willing to do what it takes to develop your Leaders and their small groups.  You are committed to understanding the responsibilities of a small group Leader so you can help Leaders accomplish their goals.

You are an example to your Leaders.  What you do and how you live your life is your real ministry to your Leaders.  Teach them from your life.  Knowledge and skills combined with the example of your personal life has a powerful, transforming effect (1 Thessalonians 1:5-6).  Paul on a number of occasions asked others to follow his example.  His teaching always was in the context of what he had already learned and experienced first (Philippians 3:15-17; 1 Corinthians 4:16).

You are a developer and shepherd of Leaders.  These men and women are your flock.  As your Leaders serve Christ, they will need your help.  So study them, know them, love them and seek to release them into fulfilling ministry.  Your ministry of leadership development is vital to this church – and it is your calling from God and privilege to fulfill this ministry.

Small Groups Ministry
Taylorville Christian Church Small Group Ministry is committed to promoting spiritual accountability in the body of Christ as we care and disciple one another through friendships as well as intentionally reaching out to those who have not yet committed their lives to Christ.
